N for Night

For the Congolese the night is a romantic occurrence; and so, in many quarters the inhabitants avoid turning on the electric lights for as long as possible: they like to lounge around, dreaming, in the soft glow of flickering oil lamps or gazing at the moon, that great lantern that sheds its light equally for all the people in the land – just like the star in the flag of the RDC does (see also Lung).
