With a deep gurgle that sounded in the quiet landscape like the song of an exotic animal, the taxi-boat sailed into the harbour and paused briefly at the wooden jetty so that Maille could hop on board before taking off again. The taxi had other guests on board, and it stopped to drop them off at two other islands before cruising along the Möja coast. It was a good hour before the Långvik harbour came into sight and Maille could get off the vessel.
